hey
first off i gotta say - this is a seriously wicked forum, so many unanswered mpc 60 questions are now sorted and i've finally managed to carry out some diy repairs on my fave drumbox - so big thanks to all contributors..

anyway, i'v recently landed an mpc 60II very cheap in the UK, but it's totally shot to shit - firstly the backlight was totally gone.. i managed to get one off a Canadian dude on ebay -it's an S1000 and MPC60II model (i think he's sitll selling them on there)- read the thread on fitting a new display; seemed simple enough - gone about doing it, but no luck at all.. i'm running software 3.02 and it's a slide-in display- but just can't get any light outta the damn thing.. :(

if anyone has any ideas would greatly appreciate any feedback!
thanks
Sharooz :D

You have installed the backlight correctly and it´s not working?
Maybe you did not fully solder the contacts of the display, or the cables don´t get power.

Did you take time to determine if the original backlighting was bad?
Sounds to me like it maybe wasn't and you had a voltage supply problem causing the original to not work.
Try to get a service manual or instructions on checking the inverter and display.
