There's the iRig and iConnect joints. The iConnect boxes are particularly nice.
But you have the option of the $30 Camera Connection Kit and any cheap Audio/MIDI interface. A little messy with all the piggybacked cables but still highly portable and you'll have a better headphone jack to monitor and proper 1/4" outs. Just make sure the interface is labeled class compliant/no drivers needed.
@Coz, yeah man it's like it was born to be on iPad. But I only got my first iPod Touch strictly for BM 1 and it wasn't too bad on a smaller screen. The more advanced sequencer on BM2 got a little more fiddly with the Touch/Phone devices.
BM2 now has a quick load toggle so it's like Ableton or Maschine and the folders/samples are in the left sidebar just waiting to get dragged to pads. Huge time saver.
