man i totally thought i figured it out since it was happening on long samples i would sample from the synth. i thought it was because i had it play in one shot it was causing the glitch, so i changed the pad so you had to hold it down to play out the whole sample ya know.. i totally thought that was going to do it.... nope, still the same problem. Super random .

Let me ask this for the 3rd time......

Is the Track Mixer or Plugin Mixer set at the default setting (maxed) when this issue occurs? Does this issue occur when you reduce the level of the Track Mixer and Plugin Mixers?

I didnt see you ask a first time but the answer is YES AND YES!.... damn calm down, if there was an exception I would of said so you **** nerd.

it occurs whether or not the track on the Ren's track mixer or plug in mixer is set to max or set very low. It doesnt correspond to whats in my plug in, same as everyone else, when I press play start rec, the volume in my plugins gui jumps to 100 regardless of what the mixer in the Ren shows.

Even after I record the track, then adjust the volume back down, it still jumps up at the beginning to max volume for a half second.

Hi , i'm new on this forum, i'm Guido from italy and it's nice to meet you all.
I've found a bug using compressors : the attack time set to 100 correspond to 0 and vice versa.Does someone is getting this problem? :hmmm:

Hi, although a lot of comps use 0 for fast and higher values for slow attack etc usually vintage style comps have 0 for slow and higher values for faster attack.
Hope this answers your doubt.

Ok I understand jah about the volume. Do you agree with the design? You know when you go through presets each one is at different volumes. So i find a sound I like. Hit record. Oops I forgot to change the track volume. Too much extra thinking. Reason I love the mpc studio is that I can make a beat without stopping the sequencer if I wanted to. This volume design is a bit dangerous for my eardrums imo :WTF:

where we are talking about volume,
It would be lovely if we could disable the audition of notes when moving them
a separate volume know for the browser is mandatory either !

Thx i appreciate your answer but the compressors on the renaissance are the same of the mpc 5000(i think) and on the 5K arent reversed, anyway it's not a big problem

MPC 1.3 plugin in is crashing PT HD 10.3 TDM when I attempt to remove it from a session. Anyone else running into this? Only way around this was to remove it from my plugins folder & then I was able to remove it from the session.

I got another crash today that made me lose a whole night of work...

Guitar plugged in through the XLR jack, sample record mode, and playing a long sequence with only a track or two of kontakt; sample record screen gets super laggy.
the input levels partially freeze and only update every three seconds or so, recording does not start properly, and then bam, crash.

I dont even know where to begin, I've seen so many other little bugs and quirks.

Akai clearly sold a decent amount of Ren's at 1300 a piece and they've said theyre the littlest big company out there. How bout you take some of that profit you made off all of us and hire some people who know what theyre doing.

All the other software I use works fine, why not this? Its been sufficient time and yet the most basic of things still do not work correctly or are nowhere to be found.

Im willing to bet that this thing will never work 100%

Windows 7 and 8.

Cannot use preset dropdowns menus on plugins. I can't see the drop down menus like other vst hosts give you. No way to select presents unless the VST has it incorporated into the interface.

BUG: Mpc Ren does not show proper location value on hardware when playing, when ren is in play mode. It just freezes at random numbers, although pro tools is playing, the ren hardware does not reflect this. What's weird is that sometimes it will start working, other times it just stays at a certain number, no reason why..

Seems like you are the one needing to be calmed down with your very 'adult-like response'.

Now from what I see, your issue is part the way the Ren is designed (for good or bad) as well as user error. As mentioned earlier, the Ren Track Mixer sets the volume of your plugin. Upon Play Start, the Ren will send volume CC messages to your plugin. The Ren's mixer is set to max so upon Play Start, your plugin will be set to max. The current implementation allows you to mix your plugin directly from the Ren so it shouldn't be eliminated. However, it would be nice if there was an option in the Ren to choose whether you want each channel strip to transmit volume changes to plugins or not.

The user-error part is that when you experience spikes in plugin audio after you lowered the Track Mixer volume. Chances are you have another Track set to the same plugin/same MIDI channel. This is very easy to do on the Ren as a new track uses the settings of the previously selected track. This is what I experienced. Otherwise, I don't see this issue you are having.

Sound toys and other numerous plugs not saving presets, also the plugin volume jumping up to full volume is not good.

Was using rob papen sub boombass last night when it done it and nearly blew my monitors which cost me £1000. (They need to sort Dat shit out pronto).

The names of the actual plugins will help significantly.

And by saying 'saving presets' what do you mean exactly? I am able to Insert my UAD plugins on a Ren Track. The UAD plugin save preset function works. When I save a Ren project, my UAD FX settings are maintained. I can also save Plugin Programs and reload them with the proper settings.
