Let me ask this for the 3rd time......
Is the Track Mixer or Plugin Mixer set at the default setting (maxed) when this issue occurs? Does this issue occur when you reduce the level of the Track Mixer and Plugin Mixers?
I didnt see you ask a first time but the answer is YES AND YES!.... damn calm down, if there was an exception I would of said so you **** nerd.
it occurs whether or not the track on the Ren's track mixer or plug in mixer is set to max or set very low. It doesnt correspond to whats in my plug in, same as everyone else, when I press play start rec, the volume in my plugins gui jumps to 100 regardless of what the mixer in the Ren shows.
Even after I record the track, then adjust the volume back down, it still jumps up at the beginning to max volume for a half second.
Seems like you are the one needing to be calmed down with your very 'adult-like response'.
Now from what I see, your issue is part the way the Ren is designed (for good or bad) as well as user error. As mentioned earlier, the Ren Track Mixer sets the volume of your plugin. Upon Play Start, the Ren will send volume CC messages to your plugin. The Ren's mixer is set to max so upon Play Start, your plugin will be set to max. The current implementation allows you to mix your plugin directly from the Ren so it shouldn't be eliminated. However, it would be nice if there was an option in the Ren to choose whether you want each channel strip to transmit volume changes to plugins or not.
The user-error part is that when you experience spikes in plugin audio after you lowered the Track Mixer volume. Chances are you have another Track set to the same plugin/same MIDI channel. This is very easy to do on the Ren as a new track uses the settings of the previously selected track. This is what I experienced. Otherwise, I don't see this issue you are having.
