J, it how you Stat your "opinions" that's the problem & when presented with facts that that disprove your theory you either double down or ignore it. Then you play the victim like "Oh, I don't I know why your getting so offended from little ol' me. I'm a dude on the web giving my opinion."

If this is something that keeps happening to you then your the common denominator. I know your not gonna do it but go on YouTube & look up how not to come off like jerk in internet forums or something. I don't think you mean to upset people like a troll, I think you don't know how to look at your communication style objectively to see why this keeps happing.

Wouldn't you hate it if someone kept presenting their opinion to you as a factual statement & then that person who not only missed your point, shut down the your idea & insulted to you & when you point out their BS, they say to you "I don't know why your letting my opinion get you so upset. Really bro?

Again this is a misinterpration issue on ur end; me saying that MPC's should be 16 pads is my opinion; but somehow u have become triggered by my opinion, because u want something different.

I was accused of blocking progress due to my personal opinion on 16 pads; I then clarified that my personal opinion does not have the influence to alter Akai's product development direction.

This is not taking a victim role, this is just a grounded response to his wild assertion which was baseless; and nobody has been able substatniate the idea that me stating on a forum that I personally do not want a 32 or 64 pad MPC would somehow block progress of the MPC platform.

The common demoniator is mostly u and enoch and how u respond to my posts; plus anyone else who is trapped in the group think that often pervails on this forum.

You are interpreting my personal opinion as a factual statement; but its simply an opinion, that u can either agree or disagree with, it does not need to become a personal issue where u feel attacked.

Get better at reading between the lines and understanding context.

Get better at not writing your opinion like it's a fact & shit on people then act like your the victim. Everyone has an opinion but mainly you present yours in way that comes off like an ****. If me & others keep pointing that out than that make you the common denominator, don't blame it on forum group think. If this wasn't the case wouldn't me & the same others, point out the same BS to others members?

Also, notice how when your arguing with me or whoever over the way you express yourself, nobody ever takes your side. One dude just said he got you on ignore. You keep misunderstanding that we feel attacked by your opinion & that using the excuss that your a member of this site & that Akai wont listen to you. Like duh we all know that & that' why most don't shit on other ideas & insult people - we're just shootin' the shit with the few people that happens to be into making music. You telling someone their a nerd for doing something creative in a way that's more advance than how you go about isn't cool & your reason for what you base your logic on makes it worse - The "greats" didn't do that...

back on thread topic; presumably Force MK2 is the next hardware up

I recall when MPC 3 beta was announced, Force users was unhappy about lack of software updates for the Force, and I recall seeing multiple comments stating that Akai had hinted at a new Force update.

so what changes do people expect to see in the next itteration of the force? maybe a flip screen this time and more RAM?

I personally dont like the Idea of merging the Force and MPC software; but it does make sense from Akai's perspective to have one software app to rule them all.

But I just hope they build in more customisation so users have a choice of interface; as opposed to a once size fits all.

OK LOL, getting back on topic is the best thing for you can do after starting this mess.

Now what make presume that the Force MK2 will be next?

The Update was for a new OS, not hardware, but maybe that's what they planned. I think dropping the name "Force" & making a MPC-64 but with Force like design & buttons to run a merged OS that's has both sequencers - the Force clip matrix & the MPC seq view with just 1 seq at a time, so users can pick how they want to work. Yes to the tilt screen, more RAM, & either a another crossfader or add a touch strip.

I wouldn't worry about the 2 OS merging at this point, since the biggest difference has already has been changed on the MPC via the 1:1 tracks/Programs & the arranger. The only other major different things will only make the MPC3 OS better like the clip matrix, more macros like the 64 pad macros & the 16 envelope followers/16LFOs.

I agree, One OS with many new gen MPC types would be best.

You might already know this, but it seems unlikely that a version 2 of the Force will be released.

firmware wise there is absolutely NOTHING that would suggest any kind of new hardware or updated unit - not even a single out of ordinary button label, let alone HW Codename or something with more of a substance to it. You would thought that at this point they would have ANYTHING related to it embedded into main executable :hmmm:
as a side note - I have a feeling that next weeks update will be the biggest one to date :-D

btw - nearly run out of popcorn

Oh it's indeed more than a bit of trolling.

The part where I mentioned the legacy of roger linn, that part was indeed trolling.

You've made this abundantly clear. Meanwhile, in this actual MPC X "VERSUS" Force thread, many of us would like to see brand new hardware that utilizes the strengths in both. Move forward. Push the envelope. EVOLVE. Don't stay stuck in the past.

tbf the merge of Force OS and MPC OS is basically complete with 3.0; minus the clip launcher

It seems I was incorrect about a possible Force MK2 as someone posted a link to another thread detailing that Force is on hold (both software & hardware);

I thouught there might be a force 2 based on thinking the Force was discontinued offically; and also based on seeing hint that there was due to be Force software update on the way, but that appeared to also be social media rumour.

I think there should be an option to unlink programs and tracks; surely this would be easy to add somehwere within preferences, so that people have a choice of how they want to work.

If Akai is going doing the one for all software approach; they should make it as user configurable as possible to accomodate all potential workflows.

I agree with mostly everything, but the Force OS update wasn't a rumor. It was mentioned by Akai at the time MPC3 came out. That still may happen. They never said anything a MK2.

I just don't see them not releasing a 32/64 pad something in the age of MPE. 16 pads is cool but once you 64 it changes the way you play & create programs. Like sometimes if you only have 32 chop it more convenient to put the 2nd set of of samples on bank C (top left) instead of bank B (bottom right) so that Bank A & C is connected as one big ass bank. Going from pad 16 on bank A to pad 1 on C is easier & feels more natural than going to 1 pad on B.

Also, copying/deleting pads around the drum program is way faster on the Force with its dedicated buttons. It's more to the Force greatness than just the OS. Even if they gave MPC3 the clip-matrix it still would be the Force experience. Don't forget the Force 8 Qlink knobs with the little screen like the MPC X this so helpful when using the Marcos. It also has the 8 Launch buttons.

To me the clip-matrix is better than the sequencer on the MPC because you can actually use it like the MPC sequencer where only the tracks on the same seq plays & you get to see 8 tracks from 8 sequences at one time (or see everything with the Navigation view) & you get to play different clips from other sequences & if you like the collection of clips currently playing they have the Insert & Capture feature that copies all the playing clips & paste it to a new sequence row, all while playing a beat.

I think the Force was just too much power for most MPC heads when it first dropped & got the needed upgrades. Akai is a business so they may not other companies to know what they're planning next. MPC3 let us know the Force OS is the future which makes Force ahead of its time since the more they go in that direction the of physical buttons & other Force features user will demand, but many seems to need MPC on it for it to official. MPC64 it is...
