MPC One: "Stuck" Pads

Just remembered another important factor related to this. Sometimes an empty track that contains notes, gets assigned the last viewed program (for example if you’re cycling through the tracks, the last track that has a program assigned makes that program get assigned to the next empty track as you cycle through). This can also cause the issue with stuck highlighted pads, the pads behave erratically because they are potentially, already being held down by the second track. The good news is it’s not a hardware issue.

I finally ordered a new power supply for my MPC One and I gotta see if that changes anything. We'll see if the power cable I have itself is somehow "dirty." Also, I am nearly 100% sure nothing was ever spilled on the unit. I keep a blanket draped on top of it when I'm not using it. I'll post here again if the new power supply makes a positive change. Fingers and toes crossed.

Sadly, the problem is currently worse. It was a very humid and hot past few weeks. I don't have central air and wonder if that affects the unit / makes it worse. Thoughts anyone?

Still troubleshooting this issue. I have been using a new power supply which does not have a converter on it, it's going directly into my wall. It hasn't changed the issue.

I also installed the latest software update, 2.12.2. Hasn't changed anything.

IMO it's probably the pad sensors that are faulty, this is likely a warranty issue or if that's not an option you might have to consider replacing the pad sensors. Could be due to humidity or liquid damage but might simply be bad luck and the sensors are failing. Have you contacted Akai? Could also try sending an email to Mike at mpcstuff.com, he might know what the issue might be.

I have the same issue...

Is it possible that you are loading a template project each time on startup and this template song has those pads layered ?
