On the other hand, setting a small fraction of resources aside from new feature development to keep a small but steady stream of dealing with minor irritants that are easy fixes maintains buyer's trust, so I'm hopeful for marginal quality of life improvements.
Absolutely agree, it makes little sense for them to perform a huge overhaul at this stage and there is nothing to suggest that they need to do this as most people seem very happy to buy into the $$$ piecemeal upgrades.
Of course, it's very easy to claim it has been completely re-built from the ground up (a new GUI helps in this regard).
