They have the team, but it feels like they're doing too many things. But hey, they could always copy someone else's code and pass it off as their own. :-D

It's 2020 and believe it or not...Akai is leading the Pack as far as Competition!

No gear is perfect! But the Live/X/One are near. Standalone that is.

Look at us... we're crying about what our units CAN'T do. Instead of embracing the Pluses.

We all had different reasons for F*ckin Wit Akai....Me...it was all about cutting the Mouse Cord and Gettin it in outside of the box. Other people feel more secure attached to the Matrix  I get it.

3. Me crying? Yo l don't even have it no mo   come up outta this thtead and look how many people are having problems. The software is garbage for real.

4. Right we all had reasons in getting the new MPCs. Come to find out the things it now incorporated l was already using years ago. With my computer l can rock plugins with no hassle and l have complete power! No limitd here. :smoker: Hell l didn't make this thread  Look at what the OP said

There are a lot of people out there who are still very happy with their One/ X /Live despite the bugs. Some users don’t even encounter them, or have found a way to work around them. No need to bash people who still love to use their MPC’s. More power doesn’t always equal better results, or suits the situation. Otherwise everybody would have a formula 1 car for doing groceries and dropping kids off at school.

Not when it comes to the MPC Software. Notice how they never use the software in demo videos. Even the people who receive them early for beta testing. Never use the software in their videos. The software and controller mode feels, looks, and works like an after thought. The Mixer sections is a mess, the drivers are mess, the crashing, the latency, the freezing have become worse since 2.8.1

If the musician is a seasoned professional, they expect certain level functionality and reliability. It's all about trusting the gear you have and if you can't trust the gear, that's a major a problem. Also with the COVID shut downs, we have the time to deep dive into the machines. Which has revealed more flaws of the software/controller aspect and the standalone hardware.

I'm talking about the software, which works fine for the very basic thing. But anything past that, be prepared for the crash of 2020. Perhaps it's due to the latest, Microsoft Windows 10 updates which broke many things. I've tried to use the MPC SOFTWARE exclusively for a week and it needs improvements.

The only workaround for poorly written driver, is to not use them. My week long deep dive kept bringing back the same question. Why can't I use the software as a utility program to control the MPC, while in standalone. This would make it much easier to use for mixing and editing.

Wrong! You shouldn't have to have a WORKAROUND on a piece of equipment that is suppose to be pro level. Are you telling me Akai give people a mark up of what their equipment suppose to do yiu spend $700 to $2,500 and you have to use WORKAROUNDS?

What person have l bashed? What's their name? Fact l have been talking about Akai not individuals. If you're talking about people having hope and good things to come, man l agreed with another who said it first. Go back and read the messages. Are you telling me you looked pass everyone even the OP to blame me for Akai's ass backwards crap? Fact Akai's software DAW is crap and lm not the only one that says that. Don't come at me talk to Akai. Just like the person said most who have hope try to come down on the few that don't go for that.

You forgot to add the other things l said besides POWER! I have more ram, PDC , disk streaming etc and no bugs! :smoker:

I agree, it shouldn't be acceptable that Akai is lagging and that users shouldn't have to do workarounds. But that doesn't mean some users have accepted that and are relatively satisfied with the way they make it work. They decide to live with that over working with something else, even though it's a more powerful or more stable system. Some like you and me think it's not worth the hassle and moved on. But also alternatives like producing on a laptop or going back to an older MPC doesn't come without downsides and irritations. For me who chose to work with an older MPC, I am dealing with concerns on how to get my MPC serviced. Will need a new screen, data wheel encoder and all my tact switches replaced soon. I take that for what it is, while others would say at that point: **** it, then I'd rather deal with the newer, but less stable MPC's. There are many reasons why people stick with Akai, and there's no need to downtalk those who do.

Sensitivity!

Bottom Line. Akai's Software has a Lot of Bugs because they're Fairly New to the DAW Game. JJOSXL been around for Over a Decade...and he still updates his Bugs. Bug Fixes make the Product Greater!

I cant Name ONE Standalone that can do what the MPC Live/X/One can do!

Other Companies are Trying to Catch Up....As Akai is Catching up to the Software Side of things!

I may be wrong tho

I wish that was the case, because The Ren came out in 2012. But look at the progress of UA's LUNA that came out this year. The reason you can't is but these companies, focus on productions DAW software. Let's keep it 100%, if ableton or logic make their full software available on ipad pro with it's own controller like The Renassiance its lights out!

Maschine Plus is already there, they just need a major flagship with the proper I/O. Which may not be needed because you can connect an audio interface to the Maschine MK3 and expand your I/O.

The reason we have to do a workaround, is because Akai Pro is closing the system off, instead of opening it up.

Buy older MPC 2500 and use the for parts, as far as tact switches learn how to solder and you'll be just fine.

Sometimes, straight honest answers can seem like down talk. Especially when there are people who make videos about these machine. They don't give the truth, because they would stop getting free gear. That conflict of interest can be a monster dodge. But then you do have those who talk down, because their music is not up to par. :smoker:
