I agree with Charles, it will bring revenue which means continuous improvements. Akai is part of a larger business and they want to make money.
What’s the deal with being against splice??? If you don’t want to use it DON’T. Akai is not forcing anyone to use it. I’m pretty sure almost everyone has a smartphone that has features they’ll never use, complain about that to apple or any android cellphones company and wait for them to answer. :Sigh:

Watup man how you beeeez? LOL

man they got me working hard and lm loving it.

For me splice is not worth it. But others use it and l don't knock them. I have splice already , its called OMNISPHERE 2.5 LOL l have 160 banks and each bank goes from 110 to 250 presets. Im about to purchase 160 more banks of a total of 320 banks. Im blowing that baby out. I takes sounds as a one shot bring it to the Akai live and make melodies. That ish is hot! Im having so much fun its against the law lol

Omnisphere is nice, was thinking of building a rig just for it. Any idea if it works with Linux and wine? Also whats the new, Gig? Any music benefits?

Im really liking all the ones that l found. They are are good like:
1. Audiority
2. Drum vault
3. Pluginguru
4. Pluginhugger
5. Ilio
6. Uneek Sounds
7. Subsonicartz
8. The Unfinished Omnisphere
9. Topsounds
10. Soundmajorz
11. Pulse
Etc.

Some are geared towards EDM and some to urban music. But l know how to take EDM sounds and implement it in my TNB music. With the dope effects that the Live have l can chop a sound middle C bring it in the MPC live spread it and make a melody. Add effects and watch the magic begin. I fell off doing that because l didn't use the 2000XL since 2012 now lm back.

Windows and Mac so far what l know of.
Its at 2.5 getting ready to hit 2.6 where it will deal with legendary hardware. Its bananas but l don't need that. I just love the sounds.

You sound nuts about now dude! I and others expressed we don't want splice that's no problem. Now how is that effecting your life?

Akai has the right to do what they want to get money. :-)

What's on my phone is already there not at some other company and my provider trying to sell it to me. Splice is not part of my MPC live and never will. People have the right to express what they want and don't want. :smoker:

Did you read what you posted??? Who has mad comments in here and other post complaining about how he don't want splice. If you don't want why post about it many times? Once is enough to express yourself like you said. Still not gonna change anything like i said.
If you believe your provider and software update after your purchase your phone don't add extra stuff u don't need, thats on you. Search for something on google or what ever, then open up FB, Instagram ect... And see advertisement about the same stuff you just searched for. Did you allow that? Aren't they trying to sell you some?:Sigh:

If I’ve learned one thing, harware manufacturers are getting better with software and keeping the hardware around longer. Look at the OP-1 (2011) and the circuit (2015). Both of those kit have been constantly updated and both have technology that is considered to be “outdated”.

MPC Renaissance 2012
MPC Touch 2015
MPC LIVE/X 2017
NEXT MPC: 2020/21 Possible?

Which gives the current MPC about 2 to 3 more updates. Possibly.

While it's not a traditional "MPC", let's not count out the Akai Force. I think it falls in-between the "MPC Live/X" and the "next MPC". I think the Force is the signal from Akai that they are moving everything back inside the device for more intimate workflows. When you look at Akai's product line, they literally cover all the bases. They have a DAW...they have the controllers; studio, ren...the hybrid; Live\X....and now the "New" standalone; The Force. So I wouldn't be surprised if the next new device is a larger "Force," something the size of the X, that works like the force that also supports MPC 3.0. In essence, you'd have a standalone workstation that you could write entire songs in and then go post production in their MPC software environment without leaving the workstation. Alleviating the need for a 3rd party DAW.

The Force is built more as a live performance/DJ pieces. It's an updated version of the long forgotten. Akai Remix 16. LOL Personally, it would be a suicide mission to try and put everything in the box. Desktop and Laptop computers have more power, capability and they're much cheaper.

Akai best bet, is to create a fully integrated system. Where all their gear fully talks to each other. Until then, their just release random pieces of gear. If the MPC X is the flagship device, all the gear they release show connect to it, and the MPC X should be able to control them all.

Akai Remix 16, my goodness the sequencer on this was horrible. LOL

While I get what you're saying, I disagree on the Force being "next" in the MPC release line/schedule, primarily because its running on similar hardware/software, and is really more of a variant of what's out there.

I'm *actually* putting money up that there is a new MPC in the pipeline, but I'm not anticipating it until winter 2020/Spring 2021. There is simply too much horsepower being left on the floor. I'm actually anticipating an iPad1 scenario where the new devices are the real "monsters" of stand alone - that will age gracefully, while the first generation stuff dies off quickly due to limited memory and processing, and users will take it upon themselves to milk every ounce out of it using hacks. I'd anticipate the form factors of the Force, Live, and X to be continued with only slight modifications, and maybe the color adoption of the MPC 2000XL (20Y anniversary). I wouldn't expect much more in terms of features, just finer tuning and more horsepower, along with a growing list of synths, & FXs from third parties.
