I messaged Akai about the bug too. Unless I'm missing something though, keygroups are totally unusable in mono mode now.
Could anyone give it a try to replicate it please?
-Load a sound to a keygroup (Sine wave would probably make it most obvious)
-Set to mono
-Play sound on pads = no clipping
-Play sequence of the sounds = random yet constant clipping
ok, i just did that:
loaded up opx4, init preset, raised its main volume, recorded a C note in sequencer, bounced to sample, assigned to a drum program, converted that pad to keygroup, switched the keygroup to polyphony = MONO, recorded a sequence, everything seemed fine. then i switched from one shot to note on, the envelope is now an adsr, it does act strange, it seems it's not doing its job. but even stranger, switching to POLY gave me clicks and pops! more than mono mode! i'm going nuts?
so: you said it's worse in mono, i find it is worst in poly, you say its worse in one-shot, i find its worse in note on.... fkin hell...they do messed it up!
