its sad that AKAI have not implement rex 2 in stand alone. if akai hear me on this most defiantly there marketing would be outstanding .
reason
any one can chop up a loop/samples . but its a bit a prosses for all of us.
its faster loading rex 2 into mpc one / force because there 2 types of data .
midi
slices
sync (looks up nicely only edit if needed)
just like FXpansion GURU, Geist2, reason of course , and korg Stockholm, any daw.
"Propellerhead Software devised a clever time-stretching solution that applies MIDI thinking to digital audio. Their ReCycle program takes a piece of digital audio, cuts it into small segments (“slices”), notes where in the measure(s) these segments occur, then creates a MIDI file that triggers the segments at the appropriate time within the measure(s)."
importing rex 2 into the mpc in STAND ALONE its defiantly possible to accomplish. no b.s. menu diving and over kill editing.
the timing loading loops (rex 2) its way faster. hands down. more head room (save space and doesn't tap)
can akai do this? it doesn't hurt to contact Propellerhead for support if there a licensing thing it can work out . if its a go then its a go.
what will happen if they do ? oh shit. all parties from sample lib would have a field day, producers building songs extremally faster.
this should have been done years ago . i wish akai could do this. if a company to date comes out with a rex 2 sampler in hardware >>> game over akai .
i am thinking investing building a hardware 16 track rex 2 player. i am losing patience i waited for 15 years.
so please AKAI add rex 2 into standalone MPC 3 same method as FXpansion GURU / Geist2..
