I recently had a talk with Mr. rock who was visiting a production session of timbalands.

They all tooka 20 min break to go get some lunch
The studio assistant asked mr.R if he would like to check out what he was using on the computer...

Bob moved the mouse and told me Timbalands main production machine has become reaktor...

Reaktor turns out can layer tons of samples and morph them over time...
So two layers will play this bar with 8th notes cut in from the 3rd and forth 5 layers etc.
Then switch up the process...

I can take a drum loop and mash it up into an 808 sub bassline that syncopates perfectly to the kick drum..

Possibilities are endless with the mpc...

Reaktor allows you to create your own synths...

Make your own instruments out of samples from records...
That shift over time..WHich is hard to modulate already on a MPC 4000

Yeah the guy who made the program for reaktor works for mr. rock..
He had like 3 monitors going when He wrote the code for the program.
And he looked like the guy from swordfish hacking..

Basically the program is complicatede if you do not already UNderstand

ADSR ....Cause that simple attack Duration sustain and Release
Is improved upon and Many other modulation features and lfos come into handy...

OVer all reaktor is hard, but once u get to use it you have become a master...

Cause the fact is that if you can control your sound and instuments in the mix as much as possible the more control you have over the finished product...

So too keep up on the kutting edge use reaktor

Wait, didn't native instruments make reaktor? How did they work for Bob Rock?

Native instruments made it yes...

But you had more than 9 programmers who made it possible....

Bobs engineer and computer tech is one of them..

He is the guru up at the studio...

We show up and all the computers will be decked out by him..
