I recently had a talk with Mr. rock who was visiting a production session of timbalands.
They all tooka 20 min break to go get some lunch
The studio assistant asked mr.R if he would like to check out what he was using on the computer...
Bob moved the mouse and told me Timbalands main production machine has become reaktor...
Reaktor turns out can layer tons of samples and morph them over time...
So two layers will play this bar with 8th notes cut in from the 3rd and forth 5 layers etc.
Then switch up the process...
I can take a drum loop and mash it up into an 808 sub bassline that syncopates perfectly to the kick drum..
Possibilities are endless with the mpc...
