stick with the mpc sequencer....once you use it for several weeks, maybe 3 months...youll know exactly why. It becomes second nature. And will beat any other sequencer. Every new piece of gear becomes second nature.
Thats why DA Bastard, recommended to cool it on your purchases. Because once you get very familiar with the equipment, you may realize differant things; things like: "i dont need this" or "i acutally should have bought this"
anyways, look at it like a cell phone. when you first met a cell phone you where like "what the ****" how do i work this. BUt now youve used em....you can pretty much pick up any one and figure it out.
ON the protools note. I Would get the rack version; cause you really dont need the control serface. I mean, really you could put that extra $1000, to a keyboard, synth, or vinyl or something.....and they both work the same, its just one you have to use a mouse, and the other you get faders (and looks cooler). If you got the cash though, dont feel bad....but logically the rack is all you need.
but... regardin dat rack... coo... cuz i was actually thinkin bout savin up for the mixer... but if das all it could do... F**k dat... imma save my money. i'd rather save $1000... i went to da guitar center today though... picked me up Propellerhead Recycle... i'm kinda learn how to use it... got it to chop up samples... to use on da mpc. but dis is gonan be my first time choppin samples up... cuz i really dont kno da basics of it yet... but imma learn... if any of yall willin to give me advice on it... feel free...
