stick with the mpc sequencer....once you use it for several weeks, maybe 3 months...youll know exactly why. It becomes second nature. And will beat any other sequencer. Every new piece of gear becomes second nature.
Thats why DA Bastard, recommended to cool it on your purchases. Because once you get very familiar with the equipment, you may realize differant things; things like: "i dont need this" or "i acutally should have bought this"
anyways, look at it like a cell phone. when you first met a cell phone you where like "what the ****" how do i work this. BUt now youve used em....you can pretty much pick up any one and figure it out.
ON the protools note. I Would get the rack version; cause you really dont need the control serface. I mean, really you could put that extra $1000, to a keyboard, synth, or vinyl or something.....and they both work the same, its just one you have to use a mouse, and the other you get faders (and looks cooler). If you got the cash though, dont feel bad....but logically the rack is all you need.
