I just sold my US428 not too long ago. I didn't like it. It had a lot of compatibility issues with different software.

i use the 122 right now. its tight work. i am needing an upgrade badly now though. u only have 2 TRS inputs on it and it gets annoying when tracking out. it certainly gets the job done for now until i get a pci card. i personally need at least like 10 inputs for my setup though. its def worth getting though if the inputs fit ur needs

Layla 24. I got this with the laptop card and the PCI card. 8 analog ins at 24bit. There are not as many options for good laptop cards....especially when I bought mine a couple years ago....then it was almost the ONLY option. But seriously, the sound quality is amazing....I think the echo cards are slept on.

The layla is good. I got a rme multiface but an engineer friend of mine has the layla and it sounds as good, if not better than the multiface, plus it's cheaper. ALthough it doesn't behave as well as rme...the latency isn't as good, etc. but for the $ you can't beat it.

Echo is pretty good I have a layla20 and even tho its like six years old it sounds fantastic (as good if not better than an 882). and my latency is like five ms :) check the net nobody has anything bad to say about them.

Vakseen, the us122, any latency issues with the midi? Syncs well? I was thinking about adding that to my low budget setup till I save for a digi 002rack...
