Sequencing/Recording Question

Hey guys I have this beat where the first note is on the and of 4 before the first measure/bar of the beat, I've been recording it by putting say 5 bars and having the first beat start on the and of 4 in the first bar then recording for the next 4 bars. There are two other sequences which have their first beat on the and of 4 and the problem is when i try to link them together. I have no clue how to just have the sequences start on the and of four. Thoughts?

You have to chop the first part of the loop. So you hit one button on the 4&, and hit one on the downbeat, (the 1)
