Q-Link settings are stored in Multi's. If you sequence is set to change your Multi via a Program Change,
then the Q-Link settings will change.

thanks for your help dave but still no love........
i have two programs in the multi and have given them both program change numbers, and have done so in the sequence. (am i doing something wrong?)
i have put the track in solo and recorded the sequence for now but would still like to solve this problem.

Nope, your not doing anything wrong. Basiclly the Q-LInk settings are stored in the Multi,
I was making sure that you weren't changing a Multi with a program change. As I have
my Mulit's tied to Sequences via Program Changes, so that when I change a sequence
it will change my Multi and hence change my Q-Link and FX settings as well.

If you aren't changing your Multi, but the settings that you are using in Q-LInk are changing when
you change a sequence, I can't explain.

If you want differnt Q-Link settings for different sequence, you will have to change Multi's when
you change a Sequence, as the Mulit's are where you store the Q-LInk settings.

So for example if in Song one you want Q-LInk 1 to be LFO 1 for Part 1 and in Song 2 you want Q-Link 1 to be CutOff part 2, then you would need 2 Multi's with those respective settings set.

Then you give each Multi a Program Change number(on the Multi page) and then use a Tracks' Program Change to change the Multi via the Midi Channel selected in the Misc page under the "Program Change Recieve Channel" item.

Hope that helps.... Let me know if it doesn't..

Use loopwholetube's answer. To change the Setting.

Re-reading through this, I misread what you were wanting. The instructions I have is for using different Q-Link settings but if you want to retain what the Q-Link is doing between sequences, set the option to off for RESET Q LINK and Controllers on Seq Change and all will be good.

No need for a Program Change, unless you want different stored settings in Q-Link to be recalled.

Sorry for the confusion, great answer loopwholetube!
