synth patches preview library

hi,

is there anybody that knows for sure if akai will put a preview of the various synth patches in OS2?

I was seriously thinking about recording a snippet of all the synth patches in order to have a library with the previews of all the synth sounds... even if this frightens me about the amount of time needed... but i bought the 5000 over the 2500 for the synth and at present I'm not using it due to the lack of a preview function...

Your debating whether or not to sell your machine because you can't live without patch preview?

Go back to the 2500 with jjOS and a PC!

the point is:

1. if akai is going to include a synth patch preview in the coming OS2 it makes no sense for me to build an audio library with the previews of all the synth patches

2. I love to make everything with my mpc and don't want t use a pc anymore for anything but tracking...

3. maybe someone already made an audio library of the synth patches but I just didn't know it... if so, please, SHARE IT!

who cares?! OS2 is out!

with os 2 can you preview whole programs/keygroups off of the hard drive without loading them onto the ram?

OS 2 can preview synth programs. It does not preview keygroup or sample programs but will preview the samples assigned to these programs. It doesn't load samples into RAM when previewing but it does appear to use RAM in some way. Because you won't be able to preview sounds that would exceed the memory limit if loaded.

Actually it isn't.....

The 5K already had the ol 4K audition (which was actually implemented as far back as the 2K XL). What OS 2.0 adds is the ability to preview the VA synth programs which the 4K does not have.
