I hope everyone here who spend all their hard earned money to buy all their equipment are people who just love to make music and just love music. Surprisingly, I haven't seen an MPC 5000 in this thread but on the 5000 thread.

Meaning incase you need pro tools? Is there a huge dif in sound quality between the mbox and duet? Do you record vocals in logic? Thanks

Duet & MBox are a huge difference in sound quality the Duet sounds better.

The Mbox1 and the Duet are not even in the same league as far as Im concerned. I never recorded vocals into an MBox, I always owned a 002/003 rack. My only gripe would be that I wish I had more inputs so that I could bypass using the mackie for instrument inputs. Sound quality wise though, its excellent. I bought the mbox so that I could still open up my old pro tools sessions, and convert pro tools sessions to logic and vice versa.

Yeah I heard Duet is better of sound performance and pre-amps....may have to change my sound card for sure. Eventhough Apogee is expensive but worth it.
