Can MPC500 read old Akai S3000, S950 floppy disks?

I have 100s of old Akai S950 and S3000 disks...how do I get my MPC500 to read them. Ideally I would like to convert them to PC or MAC format. I have tried AKAIDISK which doesn't work on MAC or Windows XP. And I remember when it did work on the old windows it took so long to convert that I ended up just playing the sample out of the S3000 outut, and re-sampling it on my PC through the line-in and using Soundforge.

Anyone got a solution to this as I'm sure there are 1000s of people in this situation.

you cant read them directly, however you can export the samples to wav on a pc with something like CDExtract, however you wont get the programs, only the samples.
