Praise Jesus Christ just got the Pad Fix!!!

Just one question, what was the deal nym was talking about awhile back about putting paper under the pads to make them more responsive? Is there a directional post about how to do that somewhere?

those pads sure feel nice dont they? Not quite up to par of say the 2000xl and below but definitely on the same level as the 2500...anyhow, if your running 0sxl (ver.1.10) i think if you adjust the pad level to around 2-4 and keep the velocity/pressure levels between 22-25 you should feel a dramatic improvement with the response and overall feel of the pads when you play them... i think i read a nym post where he described sanding down the pads or rounding the edges? dont know how this would improve the responsiveness of the pads but doing so could improve the feel for afterpad touch and overall dynamics for those of us that use the mpc live.

by the way man i dig some of those christian soul vinyl links you posted awhile back.. it definitely is an untapped resource for sure... looking forward to do some crate digging.

I haven't got the pads yet just ordered them, but I heard about some sort of extra step with paper but don't know where the info on how to do it is.

Ya you can totally delete this post, that came up almost exactly when I asked the question. I think I have a new batch of grey pads, so hopefully it should work without the glue. I won't complain about any minor issues, but we will see.

the silicone mod makes these things feel as nice as the korg padkontrol, which feels nicer to me than any of the mpcs i've ever felt
