Reviews and questions about the entry-level MPC500

Hi Guys, thinking about getting an MPC500 and need some advice please...

I just need a simple sampler just to load samples I already have into it and trigger them during live performances, don't need in-depth stuff... just these important features:

Can the 500 sync as a midi slave, so it will follow my main sequencer when i press play on the sequencer?

Can I trigger samples in the 500 direct from my sequencer if i wanted to?

Can the 500 trigger chords on another synth through midi out if I needed it to (This is the least important, but would be cool)?

Is it easy to change patterns on the fly without glitches? can you assign patterns to pads to trigger them?

Thanks :)

As far as the sequences are close to each other (i.e. 1&2), yes it is. You switch them with the gray scrolling wheel.

if you mean selecting sequences via pads you press 'numeric' and a pad...
