never needed a HD, but......

if i was to get one in the MP1k, does the USB transfer also access the HD as it would the CF?

having seen some recently seedy claims re:directory errors,i'll need to know i can often backup the HD to my Mac.

yes its accessible over usb. as far as macs go, im sure theres a way to hook it up. ask stan.

you can read the hd on a mac just like the cf card no probs
just drag and drop..easy

arebee the mpc hard drive mount on the mac just like any other external drive & you can browse, rename things, move them around, delete, etc...

but keep in mind this all happens thru usb 1.0 so it is sloooooooow. for little bits here and there it is ok but moving large amounts of data will take a while.

you can get to everything via usb using mac or pc, i use mac n have had no issue's
