Question about 4000 and XLN's Addictive Drums

Just got Addictive Drums and I love it. I own an MPC4000 with Pro Tools 7.4. I was under the impression that you can only sequence AD with Pro Tools - which is wack because I hate creating songs with Pro Tools. Is it possible to sequence AD with the MPC's sequencer?
If so how do i do it?

I've inputed the midi cable that usually goes into my midi keyboard into the back of my MPC4000.

What do I do to send the AD sounds via Pro Tools into my MPC?

Answer: The midi output of your MPC must be correctly routed to your DAW/ plug-in.

This really is midi routing at its simplest for anyone using a DAW.

First of all...read up on midi routing. Your 4000 send midi notes with each pad hit. You can either change the notes it sends to match AD or open AD and change what notes trigger what pad. So you will need to read the AD or MPC 4000 manuals on how to do this. AD should have standalone mode so yes, you wouldnt need pro-tools. You can save each kit on the comp then resample into the mp. Or save each kit on the comp then when you track out the beat...load up protools and have AD running as a plugin, then load the saved kit, track the mp's sounds in and your done.
