Anyone else notice that JJ has been pretty quiet all of a sudden? I'm waiting on three bug fixes, which are scheduled for XL 1.12.

I blame it on that damn "JJ Sequencer for Windows"

i had a SYSTEM ERROR last night that cost me some work. pretty bummed.

i'm getting a lot of good work done in os2xl, but every now and then i'm disappointed. it's still the only OS i'd use though.

eh, all i can do is look at last year and feel like i was in a similar place with os2. i'm not particularly worried, and as the days go by, i'm taking this stuff more and more seriously as far as my life's direction and motivation.

i look forward to the next os2xl update.

I know, and I'm really enjoying XL too. The numeric shortcut alone is worth it to me, as crazy as that sounds.

I guess I'm just venting. I found another bug in the pad simult last night, which made me upset because they had just fixed that other simult bug for me. I was so annoyed I haven't even brought myself to report it yet.

Hah I know... that sounds terrible. I'll get around to it-- it's critical to my work flow, so trust me I'll do it.

I'm always surprised that other people haven't reported this stuff already. I guess there aren't really that many of us, realistically though.

there are a number, but not a great number.
if only we could have gone from the original mpc1000 os (1.07 or 2.1, however old yall are) straight to os2xl, it would have the population it needs.

unfortunately an intermediary is necessary

I'm sure when JJ gets offered a 'proper job' it'll be goodnight to further updates on the MPC, although I can see the Beat Kang heads opening up their OS, so maybe that would be an option for him?

fuk, lets hope JJ gets in the sack with roger linn or something, wouldn't that be a match made in heaven.

He's an aussie that's why.
If it is true and JJ got a sack from akai, then I say his updated OS is out of necessity, keeping the bread on the table, now that he is out of the company framehold he is free without other pressures to concentrate solely on OS updates for the 1000/2500, what i'm saying is just say one of the engineers working on the mpc 5000 got a sack, perhaps if he had the initiative and source code he could independantly (like JJ) make the machine into a mega-monster.
