update:


ok after being on the phone with microsoft for 2 hours i think i figured it out.the usb driver was corrupt.i uninstalled everything.went into the4 regedit and deleted anything akai related.did a file search and did the same,and then reinstalled.its been about a week and so far no problems.

Wow only 2 hours? Ive was on the phone with them once from 9:30am 6:00 pm and got nowhere? Good going....a currupt driver... does it eveytime :lol:

yeah what was strange though is even after reformatting the whole computer,it still did it.it was only after manually removing everything akai and reinstalling did it quit.well,at least for now anyway.

what kind of format did you do? Was it the quick format or the full standard one?
