i can't get Auto Load to work

i did a search for this in the forums but to no avail. not to say i didn't find anything but nothing that cracked the case...... i looked at search.php?t=11725 amongst others.
I would be very grateful to anyone who could shed some light on my problem.
at the moment i have named a folder on the root directory of my hard drive Autoload. and put my synth that i use for most tracks in it.
keep in mind that my hard drive (which is brand new 120 gig) takes about 3 minutes to boot up. but i also did do this on a usb stick as well.

Did you save the multi in your autoload cuz nothing is going to work without it?

i had a multi in the auto load folder but nothing assigned into it.
i will assign the synths to the multi and give it a try!

No problem assign everything to a multi and it should be set.

ok i assigned all the programs to a multi and no luck.
should i name my multi? do i have to have a songs and sequences file in the folder?
does it matter that my hard drive is taking 3 minutes ( or a bit longer to be recognized?
sorry this sounding like a game of 100 questions.
im going to try it of the flash card now to see if that helps.
but am very grateful for your input!

ok it worked off the thumb drive!!!!
but i wonder why it wont do the same off the hard drive.
but this is great for now
if anyone knows whats up with up with the HD or has had the same problem please don't hesitate to hit me up.

I forget go to your Global page and check to see that Autoload setting is set to on. Then save your multi and all sequence to the same autoload folder on your mpc harddrive and see if everything works. Good luck.

and make sure its "autoload" and not "auto load"

yep i named it autoload
and as i said it works off the thumb drive.
just not off the hard drive.
it is very strange that it would work off my thumb drive( which is USB 1 painfully slow) and not off my internal HD....? i can live with it thou

how long does your hard drives take to be recognized by your mpc 4000?

Do you have the autoload folder on the route file folder or within a sub-folder of a file folder

I'd REALLY love help with this too please guys. On an MPC1000, Harddrive installed (80GB)... trying to autoload to no avail!?!?

- I have setup an autoload folder case sensitively named --> Autoload (tried also autoload & AUTOLOAD)
- Autoload folder is sitting on the root. In Autoload there is 2 folder containing programs.... one named Kits, the other Synths

Please.. if anyone could help as to why Autoload from HardDrive is NOT working that would be awesome! (Autoload via CF Card & Internal memory is fine)
