just wondering what people are using, what cards are causing problems and what cards aren't. i am thinking of buying at least a 256MB cf card.
if anyone is using a 256MB, 512MB or a 1GB that works great please send me the coordinates. thank you all in advance for your help.

My Sandisk 256mb works fine, although I've heard stories of others having trouble with Sandisk.

apparently these thing dont stay good forever, they adventually start to become worn out over time, and you'll slowly notice it when loosing partial data or not being ablt to load/save properly

so with that in mind, im just staying with low #'s, 32's, 64's. i use my computer as my mass storage.

Oh, THAT won't do it any good at all.
You may have file system corruption which is easily fixed.
Not to be confused with genuine card degradation, which will show up as Bad Clusters.

If you have a PC, try running CHKDSK X: /R on it... should clear up any file system errors and point out if you have any Bad Clusters. (Replace X: with your drive letter.)

thanks to everyone for your info. just bought a 256mb lexar 40x and it seems to work great! we'll see how long that lasts for. i wonder if these cards will last longer if we don't use a reader. keep the card in the mpc-ya know. what are you all thinking about these cards dying???
