Guys, I do play with "a lot" of toys which need to have some sort of on-line support and updates. But what's going on here X Akai is just mind blowing.

I never experienced such a great and helpfull posts from users neither so QUICK (!) responce from the maker regardless on how great or shit---y it is...

Akai rules and no shi-t at all. This is great and I am proud to be a meber of this. Ohhhhhh, yes . . . . .

Again thanks to all! This is second greates experience I do have with my MPC. ....it was definitelly worth the money. (actually they should include this link into manual and charge for it, damnmnn)

i hear ya mipo akai deserve bigups for opening up the public beta stage ,theres no doubt now we'll be getting bug free offical releases and no waiting to the next offical release for bugs to be worked out,cant be bad, mos def with the speed of the beta updates and bug fixes and customer support where getting.

btw= im feelin my 4k more than ever, havnt found/had any more probs on 1.51w,its dope.
but...1.51w"warning"dont forget about the clip board/phase lib bug on the previous page,ive already wiped out the third bar on every track in my sequence cause i forgot '....danng
also that multis created with any os1.60(beta as well) wont be compatible with any earlier OS but thats np':)'

My nightmare has begun. I spun down my Hard drive using 1.51v. Left the machine on for a few days because I was working on a project. I tried to save my data but the machine started to act very eratic. Wrote down on paper my setting and restarted. NOW THE MP IS SAYING NO DISK!!!! It doesn't see my hard drive or my CD-ROM! I installed 1.51w through the USB port, but still the same prob. Went back to 1.51, same results.

This may or not be an issue with the update, but I find it strange that my MP has been trouble free for over a year, now this. Excuse me while I cut my wrists.

Update: I just disconnected my drive, pulled out the cdrom, switched the pins to make it (the rom) the master and it works fine. The Hard drive is still DOA. Maybe my drive's number was up regardless of the new OS update. Still seems strange though with all this spin down stuff. Guess I'll go to Frys tommorow and pick up a new IDE.
