RundFyrkant wrote:the nicest setup around here in a long time...how to you like the spl 9946? one of my favoriteboxes... use it on all my drumsounds!
and the spl EQ.. i almost got one of those unheard..
ended up with a TLA and a spl 9526 instead

thanks for the comment - basically it's only "half" of my stuff - on the right side I also have my workstation, turntable and stuff.
But it's toooooo messy to show at the moment - LOL - so, I'm only showing the rack.... :)

regarding the spl - i luv it - it's just fun to use on a lot of things - not only drums - you can also apply it on synth/instruments/etc.
string sounds are fun too....

the spl EQ is quite nice - most notably for it's price range - it's a very smooth eq and you have a "width" for the stereo field and an "air" control for the highest frequencies - which is very cool....

What up famz!!
I recently moved to Brixton, London, got my flat today, and in the process of re-making a studio (pics will be coming soon...). Anyways, just went through about 200 pages of "cribs" and something caught my eye... What about acoustic room treatments? Not many people are actually treating their room... (then again I understand, especially if you're financially struggling like me :( ). Sometimes I wonder if it's REALLY necessary to be spending several G's on room treatment...

Might be because not all people do this professionally. I do it simply for fun, so I don't consider it necessary to treat my room. That money is better spent on other things.

^^^
Yeah, it seems that most of these spots are really creative environments rather than critical listening and mixing rooms.
