New To MPC 2000, HELP !!

I juts bought a uesd MPC 2000 off ebay it came with a SCSI zip drive and some zip file,
I put the MPC 2000 O.S. Ver 1.72 in and every thing load good, the problem come in when I hit "shift" and "disk" and go to device and change from the floppy another program, a message come up say'in wait'in.................... and it just stay there forever, is my MPC 2000 @#$*ed up please help !!

hmm...i dunno but it might be somethin to do with the zip drive. i dont have a zip drive though so i dont know what the problem might be.

but try unplugging the scsi cable from the mpc and turning it on and going to disk

man my 2000 always does that! im on my second zip drive and still i have to deal with this. When it says "wait" I usually eject the disk, unplug the zipdrive (from the side of the actual zip drive). This will unfreeze the mpc and bring it back the the load screen. Once there, I change over to scsi 4 (you should be using 5 for your zip), then hit "main screen". ONce on main screen, i plug in my zip again, and insert the disk. I wait like 5 seconds the hit shift and load again. I switch from scsi 4 back to scsi 5 and that usually wakes up the zip drive and i can load my sh*t again. Thats the only way i can get around the problem, but there must be a better way.

I tied all that shit, nothing....even when I try to load another floppy disc I still get that wait'in........... and when I dont get that and start to assign that shit I get (no sound) I'm try'in not to get mad over this shit cuz it took me a day or two to get Reason 2.5 working right, if any one can help or got any tip please post

Mine was doin' that too(I was waitin' for like 20 minutes and still got nothin').I changed drives because the 250 i had didn't have the id switch on the back which i think made it a parallel port.A true scsi will have the id switch,which is usually the 100mb.You may just wanna switch em up and try a 100mb for now.Since i switched i haven't had any problems at all....Peace.

MAKE SURE THE TERMINATION IS ON ON THE BACK OF THE ZIP
