I Think only by Keygroup Samples, however that is... hopefully SCD will be here to save the day

First you need programs/samplers in these formats. You can have them on CD or put them on a CF card. You load them like you would do typical MPC 5K format programs/samples.

I downloaded "chinese percussion" from http://www.hollowsun.com/downloads/index.html,
unzipped it, transferred it to CF (5Kformatted one), put it into the 5K: try to load the program: doesn't work...
anyone suggestions?

This is only for the Fusion though, its .afp, .afi, and .afs files.... I dont think these are compatible

But the links werent working for the samples yesterday when i checked

these seem to work fine. they consist of an akp-file and the corresponding samples in wav-format.

the chinese percussion from hollowsun doesn't work; it consists of an afp-file and corresponding samples in afs-format...(should this work or not, i cannot answer for the moment )

it seems that afp and afs file extensions are for alesis fusion only

You need the appropriate program files of the various samplers (or the 4k) plus their samples.
Should work fine (for the parameters available in the 5k that is).

A lot of time went in testing the import of all the various formats and as far as I know, 99% should work.
