BUG IN OS2XL 1.11 for MPC1000 (Main Screen Grid BUG):

1. Set Timing Correct to "off."
2. Move cursor to Sequence number and press Window button.
3. Select unused Sequence and press Window button.
4. Press Down arrow to move cursor into Main Screen Grid.

BUG: Track type becomes Drum by default. However, the cursor scrolls by each individual Tick, similar to a Midi Track. The cursor should move by 1/16th notes as Drum tracks normally do.

(I know this bug is very minor, but it has been bothering me for weeks now. At this point I'm committed to smoothing out XL, since that's pretty much what I'm using.)

UPDATE: Will be corrected in XL 1.12.

Bug (?) on os XL version 1.11:

Chord fonction:

Quantize of the notes doesn't work.
When I record some chords in 1/16 (in the tc window) it's not precise and seems that it doesn't work properly.

I'am not so sure so if you can test it...

this is on 2500 latest version available

adding a silence in front of the samples makes a nasty click before sample starts..

Is it just me or is the Q-LInk page buggy in XL? Cutoff worked for a minute, went to main and it didn't. went back to Qlink and still didn't work. I was hit so maybe it was just me.

I found a few new bugs last night in both version 2 and version 2xl. Before I report them, I just would like some conformation that these are bugs and not just personal error. I decided to go back to version two because I really wanted to get into the pattern loop edit mode. What I was trying to do here is record the first pad on track one, stop recording, then switch to track two and record the second pad, and on and on untill I had all 16 pads on their own tracks. This just seems impossible to do. At times hitting the pads does nothing at all. If anyone tries this, you should easily see what I mean.
The secongd problem I had was in version 2xl. I loaded a sequence that had a lot of information on track one. Then I tried using the move pad feature in order, again, to have each pad on it's respective track. I start by moving pad 2 to track 2 with no problem. Then move pad 3 to track 3, and so on. Only one or two of the pads have actually moved. It seems that there may be a way to do it, by pressing the main button in between each move, but there still seems to be a bug.
If anyone has trouble reproducing either on of these, let me know and I will give specific details of each one. It seems to me though, that if you try either one, the bugs will be obvious... Peace

^ It sounds like you may be trying to use the pattern mode incorrectly. Are you trying to actually play the pads while in pattern loop mode? You're supposed to use the pads only to switch which pad you're programming for, and then use the velocity row to program notes.

For the 2XL question, I've been using the Move Pad to Track feature and really like it. It's worked perfectly, except for trying to move pads that are simulted... but that's another story! The thing that's kind of funny, and could be messing you up... once you move a pad to a new track, the sequencer automatically changes to that new track. I think this is counterintuitive, and may be what's messing you up.

Accidentaly I've found that you can switch between all modes holding numeric key + pad with the exception you can't do that on numeric fields. I don't know is it documented or is it a hole in the os. Eitherway I don't mind it.

I don't think this is a bug. In Other mode, is the numeric button set to numeric or to switch modes? What you're describing sounds like part of the latter, and you're setting what modes it will shortcut to.

Na I think the purpose of this thread is just to document and confirm the bugs. Then once a bug is confirmed you report it. As far as I know JJ doesn't try to read the forums.

I'll report this bug tonight once I confirm that it still exists in 1.12.

You're absolutely correct.
Just wanted to make it clear for those who are new to the JJ OS.
I haven't had much time with OS2XL, being busy with other things. But I'm glad to see many users stay on top of things. I got a lot of catching up to do.
