problem hearing sounds through mpc500

when im listening to my sample sounds using the play button they are loud and clear but when i program them into the pads and play the samples through them the sound is very minimal compared too when i play them through the play button(hope that made sense). its this way through speakers and through headphones(through the headphones i can barely hear anything at all). i have the main volume all the way up also. is this normal? if anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.

This is sadly normal.

the preview volume is louder than the default volume.

Are the pads' volume at 100 or the standard 70?

i've got this too,. i think when to hit the play button to preview a sample it plays it at vol. 100, where as ur pads are set to 70, so thats why its louder, i dont know if there is any way to change the play button volume, but you can always set all the pads to 100 and see if that works.,

I just turn down my mainvolume when I am previewing, have to say I forget that sometmes

because you have velocity turned on..
