Deleting samples

Hello:

I'm trying to figure this out to save my card space

After I make a beat. the Drum program have many sounds on the bank A that i loaded into the mpc 2500..I only use a couple of pads off bank A
How do i delete the rest of them in a group(not 1 by 1) so i don't have to save the entire sounds?

What you want to do is Purge sounds not used in any programs, but I don't recall if the 2500 has this. Anyway, make sure none of the sounds you want to erase are assigned to any pads in any program. Then find the purge function and use it. It will only keep sounds that are assigned to pads, even if you didn't use them in the beat.

Yup. the 2500 does have the purge function. It's the far right tab on the program page. You can also go into the trim screen and hit the window button (pretty sureit's window, i'm not @ my 25k right now) and that'll give you the option to delete.

What about deleting samples from the memory flash card. Without using a USB/computer or erasing the whole disk.

Never mind F2 F5 under save and window...
