DJ Hellfire wrote:Yo Lord, is that a harddrive on your left Rokit? Not a good idea if it is. I'd actually move the Mbox as well. Looks good though! If you have the room, move that desk away from the wall some and grab a pair of these: http://www.guitarcenter.com/On-Stage-St ... 1142212.gc

Yea it is a hard drive, believe me I'd love to put them somewhere else but I've got one huge common problem, NO SPACE!!! LOL it haunts us all. Can't wait till I have my own spot one day I'm gonna make sure my place has lots of space for my needs. But can I ask Hellfire why its such a bad move?

If it's a mechanical/rotating harddrive, the vibration will kill it. That's the one thing that really fuks up mechanical ****. If it were a flash based harddrive, it would be fine, as far as vibration goes. The only real harm to those are heat, and you wouldn't being risking that on top of the monitor. But if that is a spinning drive, I'd get it of ASAP! Plus, there's the fact that the sub has a huge magnet that can wipe that shyt clean!

Hmmm............I didn't know any of that stuff, Thanks for the heads up fellas.

You don't want the MPC in front of the speaker either. My boy did that once with his 2000 Classic and the speaker wipe something clean on it and he had to send that **** in to Akai. Of course he was using DJ speakers with 15" subs in them, though!

You can see the sub properly here

the rode nt-2a mic

my music greatly revolves around compostion and vst's rather than sampling as sample clearance is too much of a hassle - however for independent projects i do for fun, i like to sample etc

there's a few extra things i would like to get for this setup but nothing particularly necessary etc

Nice! I have the reflexion filter too. The high end studio guys talk **** about it, but it made a huge difference in my vocals as far as ugly room reverb goes. You have a link to any of your music recorded with the Rode/Filter setup?

It's a good easy solution to a difficult problem... I mean it's no proper vocal booth but it makes a good significant difference in the setup. I'm considering getting some sound foam here and there aswell to cover the weak spots like the ceiling above it :) I don't have any atm I'm afraid as the mic is fairly new, but it's mainly used to record demos to send to management

Mwahahahhaha these remind of 3D renders.

It's a ray trace baby!

Pics are all crappy phone pics, so let me apologize for the quality in advance.
Also, we move things around from time to time - so if some of the pics look different that is why.
