How do I use the mpc2000 as a midi controller

I have a vst with the same number of pads as the mpc2000 and you can drag patches right onto the pads I want to know how to set the mpc2000 to control it.

Depends on the vst. You'll have to set the midinotes to the same notes as the mpc's pads. The mpc's pads don't go c1 d1 e1 etc. so you'll have to figure out what the notes are.
How to set up your midi-input channels depends on the plug-in and the sequencer as well.

I am using the Cyclone dxi from my Sonar producer bundle. When you drag a wave to the pads it automatically assigns the top right corner to c5, the pad to the right d5 etc. and the pads are readily playable with my midi keyboard. I really don't know how to tinker with the outputs of the mpc much. But if I can get this setup to work It would really be sweet because i would be able to drag and drop my samples onto Cyclone's pads and use samples from my pc's library.

Can you change the midinotes in cyclone?, cause the mpc's pads are in some random order you'll never figure out.
