i tried searching everywhere and looked all through the book,,,i just installed the 128 in my 500 and i was wondering if someone could tell me how to check on th machine to make sure its installed,,thanks!!!

Try going into the record function with no samples loaded and scrolling all the way over to see how much time is free. I thinks its 25 mono, so it should say about 12 minutes 30 seconds with the 128.

Turn it off and turn it on again, should show it at start up. Looks a bit like this: MPC500 (128mb)

i noticed u have the 500 also,do u have the 128 installed and if so does urs show up like that??

First screen: MPC500 Sart Up

Second screen: MPC500 128MB

mine does not do that but when i go into record mode it does say 25 min mono or 12 min stereo..is this correct?

my second screen says mpc owned by sonseelye,then it does the autoload of the internal sounds

then press other on the pads
then use jog wheel to scroll 6 times clockwise,and it lets you type in the owners name,after you do that it will show it everytime you turn it on

Nice one thanks! Maybe if you delete ur name there it wil,l show you the RAM, also if you can samplke 12min stereo you have the 128mb. I read over that post saying that
