Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

So I just got my second MPC2000 classic today I came with the original os floppy(1.70). I turned it on and got a Disk Error!! I put os 1.72 on a fresh floppy and now it says MPC OS 1.72 but then says Disk Error!!! I'm not sure what the problem is. The floppy is obviously recognized, the os is obviously on the disk. What's the next step? I was thinking check floppy connection and seating of RAM. Let me know if there's anything else I'm overlooking or should be doing.

So I've re-seated the ram, same thing. I've tried a second floppy drive, same thing. Both disks. Disk read error!!! Only now it doesn't even show the MPC OS 1.72 splash before the error. Anyone have any insight?

Solution: Shitty floppy. All the disks it came with (3 drum sets and the os) were blank. The other disks I was trying (maxell) were cheap and old and didn't work either. I ended up using an old gray microsoft disk and it worked.
