Is there a way to mickey mouse/remove the clicking mechanism in the jog wheel?

Sometimes i cant even hear what I'm editing. Plus as you can tell I'm up all hours of the night. I have roommates kids and live in a condo this things louder than it really should be. imo

has anyone taken this part of the mpc 5g apart?

Do you think this would be possible?

Would love to see someone work out a fix for that - either an alternative data wheel or an actual modification of the wheel itself. 'Clacky' is the best word I can use to describe the jog wheel. Not really fitting for a flagship IMO, want something more 'silky'
