Hi guys. Just purchased an MPC2500 today!

Just would like to ask if you think that the tutorial e-book that is promoted on this site is worth the cash? I'm a begginer in MPCs and music production in general (getting in @ the deep end, i know :? ) & wondered if the e-book would be a worthy start for a novice like myself.

Thanks,
RB

I bought the 1k version after looking at the sample lesson. After I bought it,at first, I thought "damn I already learned this stuff the hard way," but fundamentals is my thing right now so I started at the beginning. EVERY chapter had stuff I didn't know, from shortcuts to essential facts not presentented in a user-friendly way in the Akai manual. I say get it. It's an execellent read, even if you don't do the lessons.(I mean, judging by the 1000 version, they are a quality outfit)

Good stuff. As i say, total noob . Didn't even really start with software, although i have FL Studio 8 which i intend to get into too. No real experience with music at all so it's going to be a long, but hopefully rewarding experience.

Love the idea of the MPC as stand-alone hardware to immerse myself in!
