5K w/out Hard Drive?

This is going to sound crazy to most of you, but I'm trying to find out if the 5K can function without the internal HD. Does anyone have any idea? I prefer to keep everything on a high capacity CF card.

Yes it can, my hd wasnt put in properly and i been without a hd till recently, but the hd record wont work
