2000xl data issues

i have a 2000xl with an external scsi hard drive and cd-rom. if i was to save a beat to the hard drive how would i then access the beat on my computer? it has no usb or anything. is there an scsi to usb converter or something?

What do you expect from getting access to the hard drive? You need to record the song from the MPC Output into your PC thru a soundcard / Interface.

im new to this and im clueless thats why im asking questions. where did you get that i didnt want to record full songs?

Because at no point do you need your programs and sequences on a computer, you just want to record the sound. To me saying you want to get your MPC files on a computer implies you want to do things that can be done in the MPC outside of the MPC.
