Japanese Voltage

Hello,

I just bought an MPC 1000 from Tokyo for use in Amsterdam and I need to have voltage specifications before plugging it on Dutch power supply (220 V) :

the MPC model I own has a label at the back, on top of power plug
(fig.9 in p.3 of manual) that says :
"AKAIPRO M.I
100 V 19W
50/60 Hz"

but the manual figure in p.3 shows :
"AKAIPRO M.I
100 - 240 V 30W
50/60Hz"

So what's the correct voltage input capability ?
- 100 V, like for Japan, in which case I need to get a 220 to 100V adaptor or
if I need a voltage adaptor, what are the specs you recommend ?

or
- 100 - 240 V as stated in the manual and I do not need a voltage adaptor?

Hmm...I'm not sure because on the back of my MPC it says

AKAIPRO M.I.
100-240V
50/60Hz
19W


You would think that all the MPC's would be the same tho since they made it 100-240V. That's weird that yours only says 100V...I'd wait on plugging it in just in case until u get a definite answer

Doesn't matter...the power supply is universal. Check on the back..it should say

100-240V
50-60Hz

If it says this it should be sweet. I brought an mpc1000 in japan and intend to travel around the world with it.

Thank you for your input : although the back says 100V,
a Dutch dealer confirmed that the MPC1000 are fitted with
100 - 240 V transformers.

I plugged and it did not fry !
