Any program makers specific to the 500's 12 pad layout? I love mpc pad187 but having to assign stuff in the 16 pad order can get a bit confusing...

I just tried MPC MAID this weekend.

I really loved the 12-pad layout and workflow, but I'm now operating with caution after ALL of the custom-made synth samples I created over the last several months are now bad after assigning them to programs in MPC MAID.

It could be a coincidence, but I don't think so.

I tried it, all of the samples worked in the program, but when I went to export a few of them didn't work. They were all rex wav's so it is not like they were different files its a shame I will have to stick with 187 until then. But I will miss that the pad layout was 12 pads like the 500.

I tried the MPC maid & bluebox... Bluebox works well but the maid thing is still beta from hell, I like the 12 pads though... but personally I found it easier to just make the programs on the 500 it self...seems to have the shortest workflow factor.

I agree. I'm back to making them directly on the MPC500. I'm going to be creating hundreds of single hit samples out of Rapture this weekened and can't have them being corrupted.
