Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000
By johanjsm Sun Mar 08, 2009 1:10 pm
Searched the forum for the answer to this and saw a lot of work being done but what do you think... - it seems like the only external cf readers are at mpcstuff.com (out of stock at the moment) and the internal installation seems difficult (wasn't good at the operation game when i was a kid- is it as hardcore as it looks?). So i guess my question is what should an average person with average mpc operation skills do? -If you say external(or internal), what are my options? Any advice is greatly appreciated...
thanks in advance,
PEACE!

An easy way should be the external one. You can buy an internal CF drive but dont need to build it inside the MPC. You can put it in an external scsi case. These cases are very cheap. There are some cases with CD Rom build in but it doesnt matter. Get one and use a 5 1/4 to 3 1/2 Adapter for the CF Card reader (I guess they are 3 1/2 like floppy drives)

I got a MO Drive for my 2000 build in such a SCSI Case
