I sampled a live version of Frankenstein by Edgar Winter from one of my parent's old records before and it came out dope but then my computer crashed and I lost it. One of the reasons I hate doing music on a PC.

I've not actually tried sampling any synths/melodic stuff yet... 
I've just put the 'Magic 8bit' plug on my Mac, so I think I'll start with some lovely square wave tones and make a bit of a synth patch on the 500.
