BUG: Track Move Causes Sequence 99 to Erase, 2XL 1.12

1. Create a sequence in sequence slot 99.
2. Press Window on Sequence to open Sequence List.
3. Highlight any other sequence, and Press F4 (Move).
4. BUG: Sequence 99 is erased.

I went ahead and sent this report to JJ. This bug lost me several carefully programmed sequences before I realized what was happening. (This will be my last contribution to the XL bug hunt.)

How long is it going to take JJ to fix this!!! (I don't think he sorted this problem in OS2)

TRIM

1. The end point of a sample can't be heard, only the start point when triming using the data wheel.

This works perfectly in OS1 and Akai OS. You can't scrub back through the sound making it really slow to edit long ish samples. You have to listen to them from the beginning each time.

^ i just reported that. end point scrub would be nice for both short samples and especially for those long long samples.

OS 2XL vers.1.12:

1: Create a few programs
2: Save "all programs" into a file.
3: Load all the programs (the file)

The last program is not loaded.

Because the last program is the default name, so the original program (with the sounds) is not loaded at the place of the default name program.

MPC2500 JJ OS 3.09 - create new project with 96 bpm , save it to card as "ENTIRE MEMORY ", then make it autoload , turn off akai , turn on, an you see 120 bpm, not 96 ;]

I also got these glitches with x-faded samples, sounds good in trim mode, but in pgm-mode it somehow loops the samples "normal" (not x-faded) so you can hear the clicking.

I think I found a new Bug, but I'm not shure if its a bug or just the way it allways was ;)

If you are working on a sequence and then load anything new (pgm, sample etc.) it allways swiches back to sequence one in the main screen.

For example, I am working on sequence 4, I load a new prg in Load-Screen and then go back to the Main-Screen pressing the Main-Key - I'm in sequence 1 again :( so you have to scroll to sequence 4 again to coninue working...

Its not really a problem but it sucks ;)

I noticed that too, you got to load the programm seperatly and choose "replace"... but its really annoying sometimes.
Would be nice if there were a possibility to choose if the programm-names should be memorized or not

JJOS2XL 1.13 (mpc2500)

bug: the arpreggio is "broken"
(don't really know how to explain it)

the decay seems to chop the midi in someway.
i use it with my nord modular and it worked
fine in JJ 1.12 but now the decay seems more drastic.

example: if i make a chord (C) and change the decay,
in 1.12 it worked fine but now it's like "chopping"...

(my english is'nt the best unfortunately)

Hey all, I have os2xl 1.13 for the 2500 here's my problem:

1. In program mode I go to the simult screen
2. set which pads I want layered
3. record to a track with layered pads
4. If I add another pad to the already recorded simult pads the newly added pads aren't added
5. I'm forced to manually record the new pad seperately from the others
6. On os1 I could just add new pads in simult mode and they would play along with what was already there

Hope this makes sense... Not sure if this is a bug or just the way things are I dont record with quantize on so its a pain to go back and get the timing just right when I wanna add more layers

I actually reported a bug in MPC2500 OS2 1.22 where if you're in step edit with swing set to pretty much anything higher than 55% and try to overdub a note on almost any step, the note is recorded to the wrong step.

1) Power on
2) Hit F1 (T.C.)
3) change swing% to 55 (note value 1/16 and shift timing 0)
4) F4 (close)
5) mode + Pad14 (Step Edit)
6) hit step > to move to 001.01.26
7) hit overdub
8) press any pad

the note is recorded to 001.01.28 instead of 001.01.26. it drives me insane. the note should be recorded to whatever step is in the Now field.
