hey folks
i'm gonna make some os2xl videos/nymdaw videos.
is there anything in particular you want to see?
one thing i haven't done is make a beat video
ie have my drums, sample etc all chopped already and show myself recording the parts

functionally though what do you want to see?

Hey Nym, Thanks for the vid's when they come.

How about an exact way of creating tan instrument program... why a sample fades out at the end of a sample... how to get DAW (LOGIC) to sync with MPC to be on the correct count in when tracking beats...

all i got for now!

Thanks!

i already have a video about creating instrument programs - also i rarely use instrument programs now that my MPC is constantly attached to my daw

what do you mean "why a sample fades out at the end of a sample?"

as for logic, i don't have/use it but you should just slave LOGIC to the MPC via MTC sync.

as for poise, that'd be cool. i think i could do that. videotaping the computer screen - we'll see how it goes

i'll show the original MPC audio, the layered POISE audio, and then both together.

the one thing that i use most in os2xl is the quantize strength, and that's difficult to show a video on
instead of editing my stuff so much, i'm much more likely to just overdub/rerecord until it's right instead of recording it once and then editing it into place
this saves me hours of editing.

midi ccs+daw is another thing that i use a ton these days

stereo crossfade is yet another. i'll update my realtime pitch bending and tempo-increasing video with crossfade.

Hey Nym,

I meant to say the new simult. Totally lost my mind on that one. As far a the fading goes... when I edit a sample even if I have it set to one shot or note on, I get an odd fade out and have to add silence when I would rather not... most likely my sample skills which I'm developing. Any hints would be great though 'wink, wink'

Aright, cool... I definitely wanna see a regular beat-making video from you, since I'm a fan of the music. Watching the drum programming in particular should be fun.

No specific feature requests from me, I got the whole OS pretty well figured out finally.

But I'm sure whatever kind of Vid you do it will be insightful and informative. I'm sure to learn something new.

i agree with a couple posts, I really wanna see how you track your sounds out and the whole process goes with POISE and REAPER, and some VST's.

More O2XL oriented - i'd like to see the Arpeggiator and Chord features, and Crossfade.
